Are you OK, Zoomers? Manifesting a better reality for Gen Z in South Africa

You've probably heard them referred to as Post-Millennials, the iGeneration or Zoomers. Born between 1997 and 2012, Gen Z is the world's largest generation cohort, accounting for one third of the global population. 

Gen Z have the fastest-growing disposable income, a figure expected to reach $33 trillion over the next decade. So, what will this uber-woke generation do with their lives (and money)? What do they expect from brands? Who are their role models? What is their view on careers and success? How do they take care of their mental health? And what role does the Metaverse play in their lives? 

Based on new proprietary research amongst more than 1,000 consumers in South Africa, and fueled by brand illustrations from around the globe, Joeri Van den Bergh will highlight how this generation is already shaping future consumer behavior and influencing brands.

Digital Inclusivity and a New Decade for SITEisfaction® in South Africa

Launched in 2012, the SITEisfaction® report is our annual measure of customer satisfaction with digital banking services and platforms in South Africa. As SITEisfaction® enters its second decade, we have decided to expand the study for the first time. Through qualitative research, the report now explores the theme of 'digital inclusivity' and how brands can better service consumers via their digital platforms. 

Beyond the financial services sector, this unique study will offer inspiration and learning for all brands in South Africa, by showcasing the value of qualitative research (through a short-term online community) in better understanding how different generations are included/excluded in this digital-first world.
